Gold sequins tableclothWe had a a lot of brides asking about the tablecloth we used. We actually created this overlay for the bridal show to stay with the current trends of gold, muted colors and pops of antique pink. We hope you liked it. I don’t suggest you use this cloth everywhere but it would look spectacular on a head table or escort card table!

Maya and Sid ~ An Indian Wedding at the Chicago Botanic Gardens

Wednesday, January 9th, 2013

Maya and Sid came to us via Charlene Liang from Sweet Chic Events. The couple was planning an indian wedding at the Chicago Botanic Gardens with a ceremony in the English Garden  and the reception in the McGinley Pavilion. We started playing with pinks and hot pinks but as the planning moved along we decided to add oranges, purples and reds for quite the mix of bold colors.

Amy and Cynthia at The Drake Hotel

Thursday, January 3rd, 2013

Last October we had the pleasure of working with Amy and Cynthia. They came to us via MDM Entertainment who was providing all the music and uplighting for the wedding at The Drake Hotel in Chicago.

Amy carried a bridal bouquet of green dianthus, aubergine callas, burgundy dahlias, scabiosa pods, green cymbidium orchids, burgundy celosia and green hypericum berries. Cynthia called a bouquet similar to Amy’s but with all white flowers  with accents of burgundy celosia, green dianthus, and cream roses.

I absolutely love this picture from Colin Lyons Photography. It captures the beauty of the day. The sun was shinning and the weather was absolutely perfect for their wedding. Notice Amy’s gardenias. She chose these in lieu of wearing a veil.

Bridal Expo at Drury Lane Theatre

Thursday, September 13th, 2012

We had a lot of fun last night at the Bridal Expo at the Drury Lane Theatre. We created a vintage elegant tablescape of milk glass vases, with hydrangeas, caramel antique roses, pink majolica spray roses, jasmine vine, peach finesse roses and of course my white dinner plate dahlias whom just above everyone seemed to love.

Our bridal bouquet hosted patience garden roses, caramel antique roses pink majolica roses, pink astilbe, dusty miller, blushing bride proteas and pieris japonica.

We wanted to thank the Amy & Bill at the Bridal Expo Chicago for their warm welcome, Windy City Linen for the gorgeous runners and napkins, Tablescapes for all the vintage rentals and last but not least,  Jill at Chicago Farm Tables for letting us use their beautiful locally made farm table which we absolutely love.

Bebe & Michael at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago

Thursday, January 12th, 2012

Bebe and Michael got married last October at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. The weather was outstanding….not too cold and not too hot.  They came to us thru Hilary Schwartz from Estera Events. She planned a beautiful wedding for them at Grand Piazza but the number of guests seem to grow and the wedding had to be moved to the Shedd.

The wedding colors were white, chartreuse green and aubergine. Given the numbers of guests Bebe and Michael wanted to reuse as much of the flowers as possible. We came up with the idea of creating oversized bridesmaids bouquets that we could use as centerpieces after the ceremony. We added lots of candles, hydrangeas and with the aubergine tablecloths selected by the couple we were able to create a romantic atmosphere at the Shedd.

Bebe carried a beautiful bouquet of garden roses, white cymbidiums, white callas and spray roses.

The bridesmaids carried a bouquet of green hydrangeas, purple callas and green cymbidiums.

We created three different centerpieces were a mix of candle collections, white hydrangeas and repurposing the bridesmaids bouquets.

Congratulations Bebe & Michael!
