How to Donate Your Flowers!

Wednesday, July 11th, 2018

Do you ever think about what will happen to your flowers after your big wedding or event?! Well, do not waste them! There is a way you can repurpose and donate your flowers to others along with creating ever lasting smiles rather than throwing them away.

In Chicago there is a great organization called Random Acts of Flowers. Their goal is to make a huge impact on their communities and all around the country by providing flowers to help improve any difficult situations people go through on a daily basis. Flowers can truly send a powerful message and can be looked at as a emotion inducer, improving moods, and those qualities can truly brighten the minds of any person that is suffering. How wonderful would it be if you could have that great of an impact on someone?

All you need to do is arrange for a time and day to have your flowers picked up from the location of your wedding or event. Another pick up option could be from a studio courtesy of your Event Planner or Event Stylist. Random Acts of Flowers charges a $250 fee for pick up and then they would be on their way to brighten dozens of faces!

Another great option to look into donating your flowers would be Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. A link is provided here with all the specific ways to help. https://www.luriechildrens.org/en/ways-to-help/

You could also email donations@luriechildrens.org and speak to a representative about some of the donating options.

Take the small steps and donate your flowers! The outcome can truly make an impact on many and be appreciated for years to come.

If are considering donating your flowers after your wedding or event and have any questions or inspirational ideas – feel free to give our studio a call!

Venue of the Week: Chez Event Space

Thursday, July 5th, 2018

Happy Thursday my fellow Chicagoans! I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!

The special venue this week is Chez Event Space! This modern luxury event venue is located two blocks from the Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago. Not only the Magnificent Mile! What we also love about this venue is that it is surrounded by various classic Chicago settings such as Millennium Park, Navy Pier, and just minutes away from the exciting shopping experience in the Gold Coast.

With its openness – this event space can truly fulfill your city wedding dreams. If you are envisioning to host a ceremony and reception in this space – having a quick turn over is very possible. (And something Exquisite Designs excels at!) Not to mention, there is always room for a cocktail hour.

Thinking about hosting your event at this wonderful & chic venue? Feel free to give our studio a call for any questions or inspirational ideas you may have!
